Courtney Love's Court Battle Over Home to Continue

Courtney Love's Court Battle Over Home to ContinueCourtney Love's legal battle over her New York apartment is far from overas her landlady will continue to pursue the star for allegedly making alterations to the property without permission.

The Hole rocker was taken to court over her rented Manhattan apartment by the building's owner Donna Lyon, who sued the singer, claiming she owed more than $50,000 (?31,250) in back rent.

A judge dismissed the case on Thursday (19Jan12) and Love won the right to stay in her home, but a lawyer representing Lyon insists his client will continue to pursue a separate legal action which alleges the star redecorated without permission.

Lyon's attorney Norman Flitt tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "The alteration dispute was not part of the rent case and remains unresolved".

A source also tells the publication Love plans to leave the apartment when her lease expires on 14 February (12).
