U.K. Fan Paid Thousands of Dollars to Win a Date With Scarlett Johanson
The bidding of Scarlett Johansson date has ended and the "Lost in Translation star has gathered up $40,100 for the auction. The lucky bidder who won the chance to spend a night with the artist was said to be a U.K. fan. Reportedly, Johansson date, who is known as 'bossnour, has won the bid and beat out 170 bidders in the process.
As promised before, the fan will be flew over to Los Angeles to attend the premiere of Scarlett's latest film "He's Just Not That Into You". Aside from that, the winner will get a make over and is set to arrive at the premiere in a chauffeured car. Bossnour will also be given DVDs signed by the starlett as another winning prize.
The auction which was done on eBay was held for a charity benefiting Oxfam. The Karsten Johansson's daughter offered the date as a compensation for the one who pays the highest bid. Actually, the auction was started on March 2 and ended ten days later, on March 12, 2008, and the bidding began at about $1.
The "The Other Boleyn Girl" star has asked the bidders to show their support by giving high bids. She said, "...So, please bid high! Thank you for your support, and happy bidding!". Johansson has been part of Oxfam since 2005 and has traveled to Sri Lanka and India to see their work in action.
