Shania Twain to Guest Judge on American IdolEarlier this month we reported Paula Abdul’s departure from American Idol, and a couple days later two judges, Victoria Beckham and Katy Perry, that would be brought on as guests to help fill the void. Fox has announced that Shania Twain will be joining them.

Twain will be a guest judge on August 30th and 31st in the Chicago audition rounds. I missed that earlier this week, Fox also announced that Mary J. Blige will also be appearing as a guest judge.

American Idol is set to return for its ninth season in 2010.
