Warner Bros presents a diamond bracelet to JK Rowling
Author JK Rowling was presented a diamond bracelet by Warner Brothers, which made the Harry Potter films. The studio gifted it to thank her for allowing them to make her “Harry Potter” book series into a film franchise.
Barry Meyer, the chief executive of Warner Brothers, spent millions of pounds on the white gold, antique 40 diamond bracelet. It was given to JK Rowling at the after party of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 at the London premiere.
However, the writer thanked the makers of the film for their gesture but she refused to don it until it was insured. Meanwhile, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, the eighth and final installment of the franchise, has crossed the $200 million mark in just five days in domestic market.
