Charlize Theron kisses woman for $140,000

Theron kisses woman for $140,000South African-born actress Charlize Theron auctioned off a kiss for $140,000, (Rs 64, 40,000) and the winning bidder was a woman, US magazine reported Friday.

Theron, 34, took part in a live auction during a gala for the charity OneXOne Thursday in San Francisco. She was initially selling a 2010 trip to South Africa that included World Cup tickets, a safari and a meet-and-greet with Nelson Mandela.

But she raised the stakes after bidding stalled at $37,000, far less than actor Jeremy Piven had just raised.

To sweeten the deal, she offered up a seven-second kiss for $130,000 to a male bidder, but a woman in the audience quickly bettered the deal with a $140,000 bid.

Theron is in a long-term relationship with actor Stuart Townsend, 36.

"My boyfriend is not here tonight," she joked before a smooch that lasted 20 seconds.

Charlize Theron calls gay marriage ban 'form of apartheid'

Charlize Theron calls gay marriage banSouth Africa-born actress Charlize Theron
thinks US ban on gay marriage is another 'form of apartheid'. The Oscar-winning actress revealed that she was 'bothered' that her adopted country failed to legalise same-sex unions.

Charlize said it was this 'caveman' approach which reminded her of her native country's past apartheid laws, which marked a distinctive line between whites and non-whites. "I don't like living in an elitist world, it bothers me. I don't want to be part of an elitist sexual preference,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

“It bothers me, maybe it's because I come from a country where I lived under apartheid but this is a form of apartheid and I don't want to be a part of that. My ability to get married is a piece of me that I wish I could give to somebody who it would mean so much to. We should all have the chance. It's just so caveman, I can't believe we're still talking about it," she added.

Charlize Theron is not marriage material

Charlize TheronHollywood actress Charlize Theron has revealed that she has no plans of ever getting married to her long-term boyfriend Stuart Townsend. The two of them have been through many marriage rumours throughout their seven-year long romance, but none of it has affected them and they are still as close and committed as any married couple. The only difference being that they are not married and they have no lans to change their situation.

"Even when I was a little girl I never dreamed of the white dress and all of that," Contactmusic quoted Theron as telling the July issue of Glamour magazine. "I want to be clear: I am not judgmental about marriage. I am judgmental about how our government doesn't want to see the reality of gay and lesbian marriages," she said. But she does not say that keeping a long relationship is easy, as it requires the same kind of attention as a marriage.

"I think if you are in a one or two-year relationship, love is enough. You can thrive on that. When you hit years three and four, you realise that if you're going to live with somebody ... you have to be nurtured emotionally and spiritually, and you have to be intrigued. Because if that intrigue runs out, you're not going to want to go home anymore," she said.

Being serious in a relationship does not mean that one loses their freedom to express, as according to Theron, letting each other flirt and develop crushes on other members of the opposite sex, adds spice to life.

"I've always said that I worry about being with a man who doesn't flirt. I love that Stuart can watch tennis and tell me that he's got a crush on a tennis player. We're not meant to just like one person. But (that) doesn't mean you go and build a life with another person," she added.

Charlize Theron Back Home after Medical Trip

Charlize TheronOscar winner Charlize Theron fought back tears during a recent trip home to South Africa when she saw the mobile Aids testing and counselling clinic her cash had created.

Theron teamed up with Oprah Winfrey's Angel Network to create a much-needed new health and educational resource in Kwazulu-Natal.

The actress returned to her homeland to shoot a short film about the mobile health unit, which travels between remote high schools and services more than 3,000 students who have lost family and loved ones to Aids.

In the film, which aired on Winfrey's show on Monday 10 March 08, Theron is seen chatting to kids, handing over gift bags and helping them with Aids tests, but it was one encounter with a young girl who recently lost both parents that upset the actress.

Charlize says, "To see kids be able to talk that way with each other, with an adult, with a counsellor, that never happened when I grew up in this country.

"It's hard because part of me feels incredibly blessed in my life and then you come here and you see people struggling, and then you see this beautiful thing which is the spirit of these people and how resilient they are and that's the miracle".

Theron also offered the high school students advice about condom use and told them about how she learned to become a better person by her own late father's mistakes

My boobs are sagging, Charlize says

Charlize TheronHollywood star Charlize Theron is terrified her breasts are sagging.

The 32-year-old actress believes she has turned wrinkly and developed droopy boobs since turning 30.

She said: "I'm 32 and as you get older you get wrinkles and your boobs sag. You get wisdom too, so it's not all bad. But you can't really do anything about ageing."

The South African star also revealed her body issues are putting her off motherhood.

She said: "Getting pregnant doesn't excite me, but having kids does. I know I'll be a mother one day.

Theron is not the first star to express concerns over the impact of childbirth and the pull of gravity on their breasts.

Theron's new film In the Valley of Elah - in which she plays a police officer - is due out later this year.
