Posh, Britney in restaurant spat
Britney Spears allegedly snubbed Victoria Beckham after being offered a table next to the Spice Girls singer in a Hollywood restaurant.
But other sources claim it was Beckham doing the snubbing.
The Toxic singer is said to have stormed out of the restaurant at Hollywood's Chateau Marmont hotel when she was offered a table next to the Spice Girl and her husband David Beckham last Tuesday.
A witness told the New York Daily News newspaper: "Britney Spears turned up at the Chateau and the only table available was the one next to Posh.
"But Britney didn't want to sit next to her, so she and her friend stormed off to Il Sole instead."
But another diner told Closer magazine: "Britney walked in and sat next to Victoria and David. Victoria was fuming and got up, practically dragging David with her.
"She told staff it was ridiculous to think she'd want to be near 'that mess' Britney.
"It's not a good move for anyone."
Victoria is said to have angered staff at the hip Los Angeles hangout - who do their utmost to keep the star-filled venue private and paparazzi free.
A source said: "She always lets the paparazzi know when she'll be arriving.
"The Chateau Marmont tries to give celebrities their privacy, and they hate her there. They like David though."
